Although not a native of Memphis originally, she is a proud graduate of Melrose High School and is well respected in the Orange Mound Community. She is a proud graduate of Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia and Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University, in Houston Texas where she was a member of Law Review.
